Sernhac, the aqueduct trails
10,00 €
In the Gardon gorges, the village of Sernhac is crossed by the Roman aqueduct linking Uzès to Nîmes. Just a few kilometers from the Pont du Gard, the Vallon des Escaunes in the garrigue of Sernhac, where the Romans used to quarry, can be discovered. Rather than build a vulnerable aqueduct in the middle of such a quarry, they chose to dig two tunnels in the cliffs on either side of the quarry, the last visible elements of which you will discover. The tour ends with a wine tasting at Domaine de Poulvarel.
